Thank you to New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, including Colleen Skinner, for funding that allowed the YW to create a Career Exposure and Mentorship Program. This initiative aims to provide young women with first-hand information and experiences to help break down the stigmas and barriers that currently keep women and other minority groups from entering the law profession. NJWLA is a female lawyer association that works to advance women in law in NJ with the mission to retain and promote women of all backgrounds in the legal profession through education and activism and endorse qualified female attorneys for appointments to the state and federal judiciary.

Our newly designed workshop series which launches in April will include virtual Q&A panel sessions with female lawyers and legal professionals from all areas of law so participants will learn about law school, different law fields and areas of practice, the dynamics of a law firm and the professional world, and more. The workshop series will conclude with an in-person networking luncheon.

We are grateful for our partnership with NJWLA and look forward to creating further opportunities for women in the field of law.
